MSM Vocal Arts alumnus Daniel Espinal is named a winner of the 2024 Metropolitan Opera Laffont Competition
Tenor 和 MSM alumnus Daniel Espinal (BM '22) is one of five winners of this year’s Metropolitan Opera Laffont Competition. Each of this year's winners receives a $20,000 prize as well as a significant career boost from the renown 和 exposure that comes with winning such an important competition. The prestigious competition has launched the careers of many opera luminaries.

We write today to share the profoundly sad news that beloved piano faculty member Solomon Mikowsky – who possessed a singular pedagogical genius which he brought to his work at Manhattan School of Music for more than half a century – passed away on Friday, 3月15日.

While most current MSM students enjoyed spring break, the 入学s Team welcomed applicants 和 family members from across the globe to our campus for in-person auditions, which took place from February 26 to March 8. 近2,000 talented musicians auditioned on campus where they were able to take campus tours 和 meet current students 和 others in the MSM Community.
